Copic marker holder made from Starbuck's Frappuccino carton

My mom is so spoiled.  For her birthday she asked for a few Copic markers.  I purchased what I thought she needed based on my favorite color combos.  Since it is a starter kit, I could keep the "portable" copic holder small and useful.

Latest Tilda card for weekly challenges!!!

I worked on finishing my Tilda card for a few challenges this week.

I used the Magnolia stamp "Stylish Tilda".  I used copic markers to color.
Face, hands and legs - E000, E11, E01, E00 and R20
Sweater - Y17, Y18, and Y38 and R29
Pants - B00, B05, B39
Boots - E19, E49, and E15
Hat - Y38 trimmed in R20

I used BoBunny paper and Bazill cardstock.  The sentiment is from Fiskars and is embossed on a Fiskars punch.  The flower is home made with a flower Sizzix die.  I used scraps from the paper and curled the edges for a worn look.

I loved how the card has a worn look on the edges.  I wrapped the card with jute twine and added some paper buttons from a Sizzlit die from the scraps.  I always use the scraps!!!!

Sarah Kay Stamp - Spring is Back

I am going a little crazy with the card making and I still have a video to make on my Blue Jean mini album.  Not sure when I will get all of this done.

I had fun creating this Sarah Kay card with the Spring is Back image.  This was experimental and I loved it so much I decided to post it.  The colors are very different than I normally use and I dug through the scraps to find matching papers.  (My scrap pile is getting very large).

I added Prima flowers with Prima leaves, ribbon, and pearl centers.  I outlined the petals with Stickles for accent.

I added some Pearl bling to the corner of the page and mounted the image on pink cardstock and image paper from my scraps.  I also glimmer misted a doily and added it as an accent to the page.  You can see where I outlined the hem of her pants in Stickles.

I loved this card once it was complete.  I used orange, pink and blue.  Colors I normally would never put together.  

Latest crafting endeavors

Magnolia Stamps . . . .  Copic Markers . . . . Distress Inks . . . .
The past five days I have received my purchases of Magnolia and Sarah Kay stamps.  Magnolia stamps are created in Sweden and the stamp focus are characters Hilda and Edwin.  A great blog that has weekly card challenges is http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com.  Review the site for some fabulous cards and talented people.

I love the stamps.  Mostly because I get to color with distress inks and copic markers.  So, here is my first Magnolia card.

Some Lessons Learned
#1  Make sure if you use StazOn ink, you heat dry or wait 24 hours.  Memento ink is the best and fast drying in which you can immediately stamp.
#2  When you using Copic markers and blend, the blending moves the ink around - sometimes that means outside your outline.  Assure you are careful when blending around your outline or a new color.
#3  A white gel pen to add accents really makes the image "jump".  A dot on the cheeks or an outline really allows for dimension.
#4  **Most important**  I was so excited when I got my stamps that I just started coloring.  Then I had to search for papers to match.  Choose your papers first, then color.  Your stress level will be lower,  = )

- Head band and trim on dress/ shoes:  BG45 with W3 shading.  Y38, Y17 and Y18
- Dress:  E43, E44, E47 and E49.

The image is sitting, so used part of the top note from from the paper as a ledge to sit Tilda on.
I used Orange and Gold Stickles on her shoes necklace and head band.

View of the Flower
Provocraft flower punch.  Used 3 Large punches and 2 Medium flower.  Wet the flowers and crumpled up and used a brad for holding the flower together.

Sentiment

I also added bling around the circle.
